Our mission is to heal this world one listener at a time by helping them to connect and reconnect with The Holy Spirit through epic, scripture-inspired stories of triumph and tragedy told through the eyes of maritime communities who depend on God’s love, mercy and grace each and every day to get them through to the next.
Hi,
My name is Shawn Pearce-Chambers, and I’m a pastoral researcher, writer and preacher from Canada who fell in love with the maritime lifestyle while completing my Basic Officer Training (Armoured Battle School) at CFB Gagetown in New Brunswick, Canada.
In ministry, we’re called in different ways to serve and music production & performance has always been one of those paths, starting in my early twenties as a recording engineer travelling with a mobile 4-track from gig to gig. Maritime Christian Radio is just another milestone along that particular road.
My wife is a music director working in the Canadian Anglican (Episcopal) tradition, and we’re always working with choirs, worship bands and individual musicians. Many of them asked about more contemporary “radio” arrangements and song genres that speak to a broader audience than contemporary charismatic-style/praise song choices. So, I went to work and produced one of the largest independently controlled songbooks of contemporary, maritime-themed Christian songs wrapped in rock, blues, folk, Celtic, sea shanties, country, progressive rock and even 90s alt (grunge).
All of this music can be used FREELY by any church, worship band or individual musician with no licensing concerns - I own the writing and publishing rights, so play and record whatever song you want. I will ask for acknowledgement in any published works.
Now, about FillYourPews.com - I’m a systems architect & software developer by trade, and it seemed a value-added approach to extend that expertise and wisdom to those scouring the Internet for ideas to increase their church’s service capabilities within their local communities.
Thanks for visiting, and please share this site with your local churches and faith communities.
I was raised in the traditions of the United Church of Canada and am currently a Licensed Lay Worship Leader offering pulpit-supply services throughout East Central Ontario in rural and underserviced communities of faith.
